How long does the procedure take?

The length of the procedure varies depending on the amount of liposuction being performed. It can be as short as 30-40 minutes for one treatment area or up to three hours for multiple areas.

How many areas can be treated at once?

For most people, up to three areas can be treated in one session. If you require more than three we recommend having a second session about a month after to allow your body to recover.

How much fat is removed in a session?

It’s important to note that liposuction is not meant as a weight loss solution and patients should be at or near a healthy weight. That being said, the amount of fat removed depends on the treatment area. Generally, one to two liters of fat is removed per area.

How much fat can be removed at once?

The maximum amount of fat that can be safely removed at once is up to five liters, which is the equivalent of nearly 11 lbs. This is not to say that is how much your doctor will remove at once. The amount of fat removed in each treatment area is dependent on your figure and your aesthetic goals.
