Dr. Reza Tirgari is well experienced in performing laser liposuction on the buttocks. He uses the most advanced equipment and techniques to make sure that you get more toned and firm buttocks.
This area can be tricky to treat because precision and proper technique is needed to preserve the natural symmetry and rounded shape of the buttocks. Also, if too much fat is suctioned from this area, it will result in sagging skin, which looks unattractive. The first step that you need to take is to schedule an appointment with our surgeon so that he can assess your overall body fat and health profile. You may be asked about some of your lifestyle practices, since these can affect your body’s ability to recover.
The procedure can last 40 minutes to an hour depending on the amount of fat to be removed. Since Dr. Tirgari will be using local anesthesia only, you will be awake during the whole procedure. He may administer a mild sedative to keep you relaxed while he is performing the surgery.
Tiny incisions will be made at previously identified areas. Fat deposits will be liquefied with the use of very fine cannulas with laser tips to ensure that you get great results. Once the fat is melted, it will be suctioned out of the buttocks and you won’t feel a thing.

Immediately after the procedure, you may feel minimal discomfort at the incision sites. Dr. Tirgari will prescribe you some pain medications to make you comfortable.
You may be discouraged from sitting for one to two days after having this procedure, therefore we advise you to plan ahead and take a few days off work, if necessary. Once the swelling on the treated area has subsided, usually within 48 to 72 hours, you can freely sit on your butt again for short periods of time until you recover fully.
During the recovery period you should have a friend of family member nearby. We will also be nearby.
Our doctor and entire team of nurses will be available to you at any time. We will check on you and see you on a regular basis to make sure you are healing properly. Please refrain from sitting on your behind for a few days and avoid exercise for a few weeks. Wearing your post-surgical garments is very important, so please always follow our post-operative instructions and you will go through this with a breeze.
Liposuction is not recommended for patients who are obese and those who are suffering from severe medical conditions. Individuals with clotting problems are also not advised to undergo this surgery because it may cause some post-operative complications.
